Rep. Doggett spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives today, calling on Speaker Boehner to bring comprehensive immigration reform to the floor. “The only thing preventing a bipartisan response to the immigration problems we have in this country is the unwillingness of the Speaker to permit a bipartisan vote on reform legislation.”
As we give thanks, let us recall those who still seek the security of a steady job. I joined with U.S. Rep. Sanchez and Senator Reed and other to urge Congress to extend emergency Unemplyment Insurance to help the long-term unemployed. You can view my remarks below.
