Tours and Tickets

All tickets are provided  to constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the large number of visitors, please request them as early as possible in order to maximize your chances.

Before submitting your request, please be aware of the updated guidance and limitations of various tour sites, including at the U.S. Capitol Building and the White House. Obtaining a White House tour can be very difficult. It is very important to follow the below guidelines for your application to be considered.

The following are policies determined by the White House for those requesting tours through Congressional Offices:

  • White House Tour requests must be submitted a minimum of 21 days in advance and no more than 90 days in advance of the requested tour date(s).
  • White House Tours are available from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Fridays and Saturdays, excluding Federal holidays or unless otherwise noted.

If the White House is unable to schedule a tour, you may want to consider visiting the White House Visitor Center. It is located around the corner from the White House on 1450 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. Admission is free and the center is open 7 days a week from 7:30 AM-4:00 PM. Visitors can explore an interactive touchscreen tour of the White House, view interpretive panels, see looping White House photos and archival footage, see White House artifacts, and view a 14-minute film entitled, “White House: Reflections From Within.” Details can be found on the National Park Service site page.

Library of Congress tour: No reservations or tickets are required for individuals or families. The schedule for public tours is: Monday – Saturday, 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm* (*no 3:30pm tour on Saturdays). The information on directions and times is found here: https://loc.usedirect.com/LOC/

Supreme Court: On days when the Court is not in session, the building is open to the public from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, excluding weekdays and federal holidays. You can tour public portions of the building on a self-guided basis. You can also consult this rolling calendar to see if there are lectures being held on the days you will be visiting.

Whitehouse Dates

Please choose three dates when everyone in your party is available for a tour. White House tours offer visitors the opportunity for a self-guided tour of the East Wing of the building, where the President often hosts foreign dignitaries and special public engagements. These tours are offered Tuesday through Saturday, from 8:00AM to 12:30PM, lasting between 30 to 45 minutes, excluding federal holidays or unless otherwise noted. White House tours can be requested up to 90 days in advance, but at least 21 days before a particular date. Tour requests are only processed during our normal office hours, from 9:00AM to 6:00PM, Monday through Friday except federal holidays.

Upon submitting the request for your White House tour, you will receive a link from the White House containing your RSVP. You should complete this RSVP as soon as possible to ensure the Visitor Center can begin processing your request. You can expect to hear about the status of your tour request no later than one week before the date of your request.

Note: Please do not include the date of your arrival in or departure from Washington in your available dates for a White House tour, unless you are departing after 2:00PM on a given date. Once a White House tour has been scheduled, we are unable to request alternative tour times.
