Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-TX), Ranking Member of the House Ways & Means Health Subcommittee, led a group of more than 70 Members in urging the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to use its existing authority under the Clean Water Act to protect our drinking water and the environment by strengthening its regulation of microplastic pollution.

Davis (D-IL), ranking member of the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Worker and Family Support, and Adrian Smith (R-NE), Chairman of the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Trade, introduced bipartisan legislation to remove a financial and logistical barrier impairing students from securing higher education opportunities. The Tax Free Pell Grants Act expands the usage of Pell Grants on a tax-free basis, improves coordination with the American Opportunity Tax Credit (AOTC), and ensures students do not lose out on any AOTC benefits.

AUSTIN – U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-Austin) announced more than $1.4 million in federal funding he secured through the Fiscal Year 2023 appropriations process to establish a Cybersecurity Training Center at the Austin Community College (ACC) Rio Grande Campus.
