San Marcos-based K-W Construction Awarded $7.6M in Federal Funds

Washington—Today, U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett announced that San Marcos-based K-W Construction Inc. will receive $7.6M in federal funds for phrase two of a project at Naval Air Station,Corpus Christi, also known as Truax Field.  The project will include repairs and modernization to a World War II-era hanger and interior space modifications to two smaller buildings.

"This funding will create vital jobs for our region while ensuring that our brave men and women in uniform are provided with facilities that match their valor," said Rep. Doggett.

The work is expected to be completed by November 2013.
