Rep. Lloyd Doggett - Working to protect asylum seekers and their children

Following the unacceptable drop off of hundreds of asylum seekers last weekend, I went to work to ensure that this never happens again. I met with Mayor Taylor and other City officials, Jonathan Ryan with RAICES and faith leaders, who did a great job of working with the refugees, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials. A constructive first step toward adequate notice, reasonable arrival times, and better cooperation. See more below:
