Rep. Doggett Response to 62nd House Vote to Repeal the Affordable Care Act
January 8, 2016
In response to the 62nd vote in the House to repeal the Affordable Health Care Act, Rep. Lloyd Doggett said:
"Of all the pressing issues facing our families at home and abroad, House Republicans continue to pursue their radical agenda of taking away health care from millions of Americans. They did the same when they first took recontrol of the House in 2011. That was the first vote to repeal the Affordable Health Care Act. Today’s bill represents their 62nd vote to repeal or undermine it. And, in all that time, they have failed to advance any meaningful alternative legislation. Once again, it is clear that the only alternative to Obamacare is Nothingcare."
