Rep. Doggett Releases Statement on the USMCA
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-TX), senior member of the Ways and Means Committee, released the following statement on the USMCA:
"Finally, we have a 21st Century trade agreement that not only encourages more trade but adds protection for the environment and workers. The harmful language inserted by Big Pharma to empower more prescription price gouging has been removed. While imperfect, the new tools included for effective enforcement should become the minimum included in future trade negotiations. This agreement, with important changes from the version which Trump has promoted for months, can be approved next week."
