No Plan, No Help for the Vulnerable: Statement on Secretary Carson's Election-Eve Austin Roundtable on Homelessness
Austin, T.X. – U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) just released the following statement regarding Secretary Carson's visit to downtown Austin today and his roundtable, which was light on solutions and heavy on rhetoric:
"The Secretary revealed that, just as with COVID, health care, and most every other issue, President Trump has no plan for those experiencing homelessness—only platitudes and criticism of others. And, like Trump, too many Republican officials view homelessness as a wedge issue to divide our community instead of uniting us behind practical solutions to help the most vulnerable."
