Lehman High School Student Selected to Attend U.S. Air Force Academy
Washington, D.C. — Cayden Raymond, a Lehman High School senior, will attend the prestigious U.S. Air Force Academy this fall after being nominated by our local Congressman Lloyd Doggett (TX-35). Cayden, the son of Todd and Callie Raymond, will be traveling to Colorado Springs and beginning boot camp soon.
Cayden has excelled academically at Lehman High School, while performing as a state-qualifying choir member and soloist, playing as the Lobos Varsity quarterback, and participating in basketball and track. He has supported his peers through his leadership positions for football and choir. Cayden has been inspired by his family of educators; his desire to become a leader in our Nation's military reflects his commitment to serve others. At Lehman, he invests in his community by coaching youth sports and serving a tutor, as well as staffing the summer reading programs at the Kyle Public library and volunteering at PAWS Shelter of Central Texas.
"I am pleased to have nominated Cayden to the Air Force Academy; he has the spirit, talent, and determination to offer valuable service to our country. Cayden's record of academic excellence and active participation demonstrate his strong leadership skills. The Lobos and the entire Kyle community can take pride in his commitment," said Rep. Doggett.
