Friday: Chairman Doggett will Hold Health Subcommittee Hearing on Path Forward for COVID-19 Immunizations

Washington, D.C. – At this critical juncture for U.S. COVID-19 vaccine distribution and immunization, House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee Chairman Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) announces a hearing, "Making the Most of Our Shot: The Path Forward on COVID-19 Immunizations," on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2 P.M. EST/1 P.M. CST.

The hearing will explore with expert witnesses the current landscape of vaccine distribution, including spotlighting critical inequities in vaccine access among communities of color, rural access challenges, and more vulnerabilities in current progress. In addition, the Subcommittee will discuss the need for accountability and transparency for significant taxpayer investments in vaccines and treatments, and will lay out the path forward for more efficient and equitable vaccine distribution.

This hearing will take place remotely via Cisco Webex video conferencing. Members of the public and press may view the hearing via live webcast accessible at the Ways and Means Committee's website.(link is external) The webcast will not be available until the hearing begins.
