Congressman Doggett Awards Lehman High School Senior Sarah Reeves with Congressional Art Competition Award

"There's something comforting and purely Texas about Sarah's photo of her grandfather's old Ford pickup truck," said Rep. Doggett. "I appreciate that she seized an opportunity to share such a special piece of her life, and look forward to visitors from all over the country having the opportunity to view what this talented young woman has captured on film."

Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation. Since it began in 1982, more than 650,000 high school students have participated.
