Washington, D.C. – House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee Chairman Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) announced that the Subcommittee will hold a hearing entitled "More Cures for More Patients: Overcoming Pharmaceutical Barriers" on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. EST in room 1100 Longworth House Office Building.
The American pharmaceutical industry regularly boasts of its concern for patients and innovative new cures. This hearing will explore these claims and the effectiveness of existing federal policies designed to encourage both research and assistance for those who cannot afford soaring drug prices.
