Celebrating San Antonio "Tesoros": U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett Honors 2019 NEA National Heritage Fellowship Recipients, Las Tesoros de San Antonio
San Antonio, T.X. – Tonight, at 6 P.M., Congressman Doggett (D-San Antonio) will join art leaders and the Esperanza Center to celebrate the long history of artistic talent that has helped shape the city into one of the most vibrant cultural destinations in our country. Two of the city's most important artists, Beatriz Llamas and Blanquita Rodríguez, of Las Tesoras de San Antonio, will receive one of the Nation's highest honors for their artistic contributions. Former NEA Fellowship recipients include accordionists Eva Ybarra and Flaco Jimenez.
