Austin, T.X. – On Tuesday, March 21st, at 10 AM, U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett (D-Austin), senior member of the House Ways and Means Committee, will join Austin ISD educational leaders at St. Elmo Elementary School to unveil details of two brand-new projects, the funding for which Rep. Doggett secured, to create outdoor learning spaces and to launch a college and career preparation pilot.
Outside this elementary school, Austin ISD leaders and other educators will detail the two funding amounts and the projects they’ve designed for Austin ISD students, which were fulfilled thanks to Rep. Doggett’s work in advocating for and securing these funds through the appropriations process. The federal funding will come directly to Austin ISD.
Press are invited to RSVP here and direct questions to Doggett.Press@mail.house.gov. Press are also invited to arrive to the school early before the press conference, to provide plenty of time to check in at the front desk with a photo ID.
